Saudi Address Finder ("the app") is a Shopify app that helps merchants capture an accurate Saudi National Address (the short-code delivery address format issued by Saudi Post) from customers at checkout. This page explains what data the app processes, why, and how it's handled.
What we collect
- Delivery location: the map pin a customer drops in the checkout widget (latitude/longitude), and the National Address short code resolved from it.
- Order address details: the shipping address already provided to the merchant's store, used to tag orders and to attempt automatic address recovery for orders that didn't get one at checkout.
- Customer contact info (email/phone): only for orders where no address could be resolved, so the merchant can follow up directly. Not used for anything else.
- Merchant settings: the store's app configuration (enabled/disabled, styling preferences, and, if the merchant chooses to supply one, their own Google Maps API key).
How it's used
Data is used solely to resolve and tag a valid National Address on orders, and to give merchants visibility into which orders succeeded, failed, or were recovered afterward. We do not sell customer data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Third parties
- Google Maps JavaScript API, which powers the interactive map used to select a delivery location. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- A third-party geocoding service, used server-side to convert a map location or address text into a National Address code.
- Shopify, the platform the app runs on; order and shop data is accessed through Shopify's Admin API under the permissions the merchant grants at install.
- Tawk.to, which powers the live chat widget on this website and in the app's admin. If you use the chat, the name, email, and message you provide are processed by Tawk.to so we can respond. Subject to Tawk.to's Privacy Policy.
Data retention and your rights
We retain order-related data for as long as the app is installed on a given store, to support the merchant's own order history and analytics. When a merchant uninstalls the app, or when Shopify notifies us of a customer or shop data request/erasure, we act on it through Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks, including redacting stored customer contact info on request.
